In order to begin loading submarines, players must wait until the game’s main server reaches 03:10 p.m. We have decided to temporarily stop testing submarines on the main server in order to make more changes. The graphs below show how much damage a submarine absorbs from an air strike in 0.10.0 update and in 0.11.0 public test. When a new submarine class is available, an eager audience plays it every time. Submarines have roughly the same popularity as aircraft carriers, but less so in Tier VI and VIII. In Tier X, submarine games have a lower rate of damage: 32% of submarine games do not have any damage, as compared to 13% of destroyer games. In terms of spotting damage, a submarine is now comparable to a cruiser. The United States is not completely ruling out the possibility of improving submarine torpedoes, but we will not do so in the near future. Because the perception of combat by surface ships is greatly affected by torpedo parameters such as damage, reload time, and speed, we do not intend to significantly increase these parameters right now. Damage dealt by submarine weapons is relatively rare, making them one of the few that are unreliable. Other indicators of submarine combat effectiveness are significantly lower than those of other types, even taking into account the submarine’s lifetime. Acoustic pings between the two torpedo types caused an increase in damage. Since they were added to the main server, submariners have evolved into torpedoes. The World of Warships will stop testing submarine combat in Random Battles. If you’re looking for a challenge, or if you just want to add a new dimension to your naval battles, submarines are coming to World of Warships: Legends, and they’re sure to make a splash. In World of Warships: Legends, submarines will be available as a new class of ship, and they will bring a whole new level of strategy and tactics to the game. Their ability to operate undetected beneath the waves gives them a huge advantage over surface ships, and their torpedoes can sink even the largest ships with a single hit. Submarines are the ultimate stealth weapon. Today, submarines are an essential part of any navy, and it’s no surprise that they’re coming to World of Warships: Legends. In World War I, they were used to wage a secret war against Allied shipping, and in World War II, they were responsible for sinking over half of Japan’s Navy. ![]() All these new game mechanics will be tested during the Halloween 2018 event, starting in October as it would be expected. But that’s not all, as, with every event in-game, players will also have the opportunity to use a brand new in-game port and Halloween 2018 isn’t an exception. The submarine has been a staple of naval warfare since the American Civil War, when the Confederate Navy used them to devastating effect against the Union blockade. ![]() Submarines will only have weapons in their torpedo tubes where each can be launched individually and even have a mix of torpedoes in a single submarine. We don’t want that one player who never surfaces and just torpedoes every single enemy ship, right? These will bring realism to the battle and bring a sense of balance to these stealthy machines. Each stance will have a different concealment impact on the submarine, speed and its ability to attack!Ī second and third new game mechanisms will also be introduced to the game: Oxygen levels and Depth Charges. Players will be able to freely manoeuvre between surface, submerged and even use the periscope. A new dimension will be added t the game: depth. Halloween has become a testbed for new mechanics and new game features and this year we will get to test submarines. Seems Wargaming has found a way that could bring these stealthy war machines to the game soon. The community wanted submarines since day one, but it was very difficult to find the right design to implement them.
